U.S. asks that e-mail data be available for two years!
The request by top federal law enforcement officials that Google, AOL, Microsoft and other Internet companies maintain histories of Web user activity for two years to aid in criminal investigations of child pornography and terrorism is raising concerns over privacy and cost issues.
The feds want the ISPs to keep records of e-mail traffic and Web searches, not e-mail content, but that data is usually retained for just 30 to 90 days.
Do you agree with the U.S. asks Internet firms to save data? I don't.
