McDonald's taps new resources overseas

With restaurants all over the globe, McDonald's Corp. takes its locations into consideration -- offering the Ebi Filet-O, basically a shrimp burger, in Japan and the McArabia flatbread chicken sandwich in Indonesia.

McDonald's Hong Kong executives, where the company oversees operations of 7,700 outlets around Asia, the Middle East and Africa, want more cross-fertilization and to that end recently opened a new multimillion-dollar food studio and quality center. McDonald's Chinese take-out McDonald's plans to have more than 1,000 outlets in China by 2008 Olympics.
